As little kids we can’t wait for Christmas! The presents, Christmas vacation and all the sweet treats.  But, come on, it’s not just kids. Every year, we get to this season and say to ourselves, “Thank God it’s Christmas!” Amid all that goes on in the world and our families, amid all the anxiety and tensions and divisions, amid all the fears and tears we live with - year after year we find ourselves saying, “Thank God, it’s Christmas!” Every year, the season of Christmas offers us this “baked in” opportunity to pause - to depart from our ordinary rhythms - to escape for a season. Thank God it’s Christmas!
